Beverly I. Milner

Beverly I. Milner, age 103 of Midland, died Monday morning March 2, 2015 at her residence. The daughter of the late Richard and Eva (Hurson) Milner was born in Williams Township, Bay County on November 12, 1911. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University in 1935 and then went on to get her Master's Degree in Mathematic's from University of Michigan in 1942. Beverly taught school for seven and half years and then went to work for The Dow Chemical Co. until her retirement in 1970 after 20 years of service. She enjoyed doing crochet, embroidery, working in her garden, reading, her pet cats, was an avid U of M Football Fan, and a member of their Alumni Association. Beverly was also a member of Mapleton United Methodist Church and was feature recently in an article about her life in the Starr News.

Surviving is her niece Lorrainne House of Midland; great niece Elizabeth Sheavly; great nephew, Andrew House; 2 great great niece and nephew; many 2nd and 3rd cousins. In addition to her parents Beverly was preceded in death by her sister, Marvel Mack.

A celebration of Beverly's life will take place 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 4, 2015 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will be in Midland City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
