Betty E. Mudd

Betty E. Mudd, age 89 of Midland, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday afternoon, October 6, 2016 at the James E. Cartwright Care Center in Saginaw from congested heart failure. The second daughter of the late Lester L. and Maggie (Sperry) Marquiss was born in St. John, Michigan on March 18, 1927. On August 9, 1946 in Midland Betty married Lloyd Mudd and after 68 years of marriage he died on November 28, 2014. They made several trips to Branson, Missouri and did a considerable amount of dancing in there early years. Lloyd and Betty were members of First United Methodist Church.

Surviving Betty are her 4 sons, Jerry (Lola) Mudd, Gene Mudd, Ray (Judy) Mudd all of Midland, Dale (Patty) Mudd of Bay City; 5 grandchildren, Janene (Marvin) Tegen, Kristy (Thomas) Watkins, Sabrina (Nate) Tester, Ashley (Daniel) Mastrogiacomo, Tyler Mudd; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Priscilla) Marquiss of Midland; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Betty was preceded in death by brothers, Stanley Marquiss, LeRoy Marquiss and Donald Marquiss; sister, Margarete Spitnale.

Funeral and committal services will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday October 10, 2016 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Rev. Jung Eun Yum of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 till 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
