Bert L. Osborn, age 71 of Midland died at his residence on Thursday October 30, 2014. The son of the late Sherman and Frances (Coutts) Osborn was born on March 27, 1943 in Bay City. Bert served with the United States Army. On July 6, 1968 he married the former Jacqueline Clark. He was a commercial truck driver for many years, eventually owning and operating Osborn Trucking. Bert then worked for WDS Enterprise, Inc. part time until his retirement earlier this year. He was a member of the Midland Seventh Day Adventist Church where he served as a Deacon and Head Deacon. Bert enjoyed a long time hobby of working with honey bees and making maple syrup. He was also an avid deer hunter.
Bert is survived by his wife Jacqueline and sons: Bert (Susan) Osborn of Kimball, Dean Osborn of Midland, Troy (Angela) Osborn of Midland and Clark Osborn of Peoria, Arizona. He is also survived by six grandchildren; his sisters Violet Woodworth of West Helena, Arkansas and Jacqueline Osborn of Lake, Michigan. He was predeceased by his brother Martin Osborn, and sisters Carol Reger & Ruby Hackett.
Funeral service for Mr. Osborn will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday November 2, 2014 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastors Corey Herthel and Daryl Bentley officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the radio station Strong Tower Radio 90.7 FM.
