Belinda S. Foor

Belinda S. Foor, age 52, of Des Plaines, IL, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at her residence. The daughter of Earldine (Enszer) and the late Neil C. Foor was born in Midland on June 2, 1967. She graduated from Midland High School in 1985, then went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Biochemical Science from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, and then went on to study in Japan and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Belinda then studied and received her Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology.

She was a Senior Project Manager at Honeywell in Des Plaines until the time of her death. In her earlier years, Belinda was involved with Girl Scouts and was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. She loved animals, and pets were a big part of her life.

Surviving is her mother, Earldine Foor; sisters, Barbara (Scott) Schaffer and Beth (Harry) Smith all of Midland; nieces and nephews, Erica Smith, Jordan Smith, Erik (Kristy) Schaffer, Jeffrey Schaffer; aunt, Norma Foor; long-time friend and companion, Mike Powell; several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, and a nephew, Joshua Drake.

Funeral services for Belinda will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Lyn Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home, 4210 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland, on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
