Barry E. Bacon

Barry E. Bacon, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at age 67. He was born January 12, 1951 in Midland County to Leon and Elsie (Todd) Bacon. Barry is survived by Lorraine (Kosnik), his wife of nearly 47 years; son Jeramie Bacon of Ludington; daughter Jennifer Bacon of San Diego, CA; grandson Kody; great granddaughter Rosalie; mother Elsie Bacon; brother Bruce (Linda) Bacon; sisters Sheri (George) Christopoulos and Cheryl Mitchell. Barry was preceded in death by his father, Leon and brother, Craig Bacon. Barry married Lorraine Kosnik on July 9, 1971 in Edenville. He worked for Wolverine Power Corporation for 29 years as a Hydro Electric Operator and was then employed by Stantec Consulting Corporation for 13 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Barry was a woodworker and gun collector. He loved the outdoors, spending time on his tractors and hunting. He especially enjoyed his time at the hunting cabin in the Upper Peninsula.

Funeral services for Barry will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in New Edenville Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Donations in Barry's memory may be offered to the National Rifle Association or in honor of his father and brother, to any Veteran's organization.
