Augusta E. Mills

Augusta E. Mills, age 96 of Midland went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday June 18, 2011. The daughter of the late Charles and Christina (Nielson) Main was born in Six Lakes, Michigan on August 7, 1914. On April 3, 1935 in Greenville, Augusta married Malcolm Mills. He died on July 28, 1987. She was a member of Our Redeemer Church, the Good News Club, and the Studley Grange for over 50 years. Augusta volunteered for the Head Start for 12 years, and loved going to Happy Diners. She enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts. Augusta and Malcolm wintered in Zephyrhills, Florida for many years.

Surviving are her daughters, Beverly (Jay) Morgan of Sanford, Donna (Bruce) Craner of Hadley, Michigan, Charlene (Doug) Todd of Vero Beach, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Marian Ek of Greenville. In addition to her parents and husband, Augusts was preceded in death by a grandchild; a brother and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 21, 2011 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
