Anthony Peters, 89, of Edenville died Friday, May 29, 2009 at Heatherton Place in Imlay City.
The son of the late Peter M. and Hanah (Abdallah) Abraham was born December 30, 1919 in Detroit where he was raised and educated. Anthony married Dorothy Martin on May 26, 1944 and after 62 years of marriage Mrs. Peters died July 22, 2006.
Anthony served with the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII as a Sergeant in the motor pool. He worked as a Dynamometer Technician for Research and Development at the Warren Tank Plant for 12 years then in purchasing for the U.S. Government. He retired in 1976 after a combined military & civilian service to the government of 32 years. He then raised sheep in the Upper Peninsula before moving to Edenville in 1993.
Anthony was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church in Edenville, the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, the DAV, the Eagles and the Moose.

He is survived by his son, Gene (Judith) Peters of Macomb; daughter, Joyce (Kenneth) White of Imlay City; -4- grandchildren, Susan (Darrin) Walters, Linda Robinson, Jeffrey (Marisa) White and Wesley Peters; -6- great grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler Walters, Allysun White, Isaiah, Samantha and James Robinson.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from St. Annes Catholic Church in Edenville with the Reverend Father Joe Schabel as celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow in New Edenville Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8 pm and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Rosary Vigil will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8:00 with Sister Mary Ellen McDonald. Mr. Peters will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass.
