Anthony Jonathan Burroughs

Anthony "Tony" Jonathan Burroughs, 19 of Midland passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 as the result of a bike accident. He was born April 26, 1998 in Ventura, California and was raised and educated in Midland. Anthony was a gift from God through adoption. He loved life, enjoyed wrestling, music, sports, video games and spending time with his family and friends. Anthony had a contagious personality and always had a smile on his face. People were readily attracted to him because of his warm heart and willingness to help others. He was a loving, caring and proud big brother to Samone.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Jonathan E. and Tracy L. (VanHorn) Burroughs, III; sister, Samone; paternal grandparents Jonathan (Rosalind) Burroughs, II of Fenton; maternal grandparents Kirk VanHorn of Fairgrove and Sandra VanHorn of Mt. Pleasant; aunts, uncles and cousins Jeffrey Burroughs, Lane (Erica) Torrey, Jr, Amariah, Lane III, Lynneah, Myleigh and Andrea. He is also survived by many great aunts/uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Anthony was predeceased by his brother Clayton James Burroughs in 2003; grandmother Barbara Morrish Burroughs in 2011; and great grandparents.

The family would like to thank the ARC of Midland for all the years of support to Anthony and especially to Jan Lampman (aka Mama Jan) for her loving care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 8, 2017 from the Christian Celebration Center with Pastor Karl Sorget officiating. Interment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. V isitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
