Ann Weir

Ann Weir, age 93 of Flint and formerly of Sanford died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Homewood Village, Assisted Living in Flint.

The daughter of the late John and Hermina (Menar) Kartz was born September 15, 1920 in Saginaw where she was raised and educated.
On April 12, 1941 Ann married Erwin A. Weir in Saginaw. After 59 years of marriage he predeceased her November 22, 2000. In 2006 she married Elmer Gorte and he predeceased her in 2011.
Ann had worked for over 30 years as the postal clerk in Sanford.

Mrs. Weir is survived by her son, Larry (Judy) Weir of Freeland; daughter, Paula (Alfred) Wojtowicz of Flushing; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral and committal services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 3, 2014 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Cutting of Sanford United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
