Andrew Guy Copus

Andrew Guy Copus, age 22 of Midland died Monday, June 25, 2012. The son of Gregory and Lynette (Wyse) Copus was born September 24, 1989 in Midland. Andrew graduated from Bullock Creek High School in 2008 and had attended Delta College. He loved football, basketball and track and had played for Bullock Creek throughout his school years - "Just the Creek". Along with his dad he coached Bullock Creek's Freshman Football Team in the fall of 2011. Andrew was quick witted, a loyal friend and loved his dog, Sparty. He also loved to laugh and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his parents, Greg and Lynette Copus; his brother, Geoffrey and sister, Megan who affectionately called him "Poopsie"; paternal grandparents, Gerald "Spud" and Nola Copus of Texas; maternal grandparents, LaVern and June Wyse of Midland; special aunt, Marji Spencer; special uncle, Gregg Wyse; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Andrew will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, June 29, 2012 from Messiah Lutheran Church with Pastor John Langewisch officiating. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Family will meet with friends at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm, Thursday from 2-8 pm, and on Friday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Donations in Andrew's memory may be offered to the Bullock Creek Sports Boosters or the Bullock Creek Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund.
