Alice C. Siebert

Alice C. Siebert, age 98 of Midland, died Sunday evening October 28, 2012 at Cascades Assisted Living Center. The daughter of the late Jacob and Memie (Whitney) Sorg was born in Sanford on June 2, 1914. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was involved in the quilting club, helping with the harvest dinners and many other activities. Alice enjoyed quilting, reading, working in her flower garden, and decorating cakes. On July 4, 1933 in Midland Alice married Elmer Siebert. Together they were involved with the Larkin Senior Center. He died in 1988.

Surviving is his her son, Gerald (Maxine) Siebert of Midland; daughter, Evelyn (Jerry) Todd of Coleman; six grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren of whom she loved dearly; brother, Charles Sorg of Midland. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral and committal services will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday October 31, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church Rev. Daniel Kempin and Rev. Matthew Makela will officiate. Interment will be in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10: 00 a.m. until the time of service.
