Aleatha Lee Coons

Aleatha Lee Coons, age 89 of Midland died at the Mid Michigan Medical Center on Saturday, December 24, 2011. The daughter of the late Benjamin and Elsie (Cron) Britton was born on July 7, 1922 in Midland where she was raised and educated. On January 31, 1942 she married Edwin O. Coons and he predeceased her of August 15, 2004. Lee enjoyed listening to music and reading mystery stories.

Lee is survived by her children: Cynthia Lee Hobbs of Grand Rapids, Janice Forshee of Reed City, Karon Weyrowski of Midland, Edwin ( Mary Beth) Coons of Midland, Craig (Brenda) Coons of Mt. Pleasant and Judy (Rex) Good of Midland, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Her brother Jarvis Britton of Bay City also survives. She was predeceased by brother Louis Britton, sister Joanne Voinovich and a grandson Michael Weyrowski and son in law Charles Weyrowski.

Funeral service for Mrs. Coons will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday December 27, 2011 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with interment in Midland Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon on Tuesday until time of service. Memorials may be offered to the Arnold Center or to Mid Michigan Home Health Care.
