Albert L. Knapp Sr., age 72 of Midland, passed away Wednesday, July 6th, 2016 at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center. The son of the late Joel and Clarrissa (Ross) Knapp was born in Lee Township on February 26, 1944. Albert worked as an operator at Tri City Plastics and loved fishing.
Albert is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Brenda Sawade; sons, Albert (Jennifer) Knapp of Midland, Leonard Knapp of Midland, and Calvin (Ida) Knapp of Shepherd; Daughter, Co-Linda (Greg) Drake of Sanford; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Per Albert's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 23, 2016 at Floyd Church of God with Pastor Dan Youmans officiating. Memorials in Alberts name may be offered to Mid-Michigan Regional Dialysis Center. Arrangements are under the care of the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home.
