Alan R. Faber, age 61 of Midland, died Wednesday evening November 25, 2015 at home in Midland. The son of the late Edward C. and Peggy Ann (Ferguson) Faber was born in Midland on August 22, 1954 where he was raised and educated. Al was employed with I.B.E.W. Local 692 as a journeyman electrician. He was an avid NASCAR fan specially #24 Jeff Gordon, enjoyed working on many different projects, putting together model cars, and most of all spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife of 36 years the former Shirley S. Teinert of whom he married on September 22, 1979 in Houston, Texas; his children, Jennifer Faber, Ashley Faber, Edward Faber and his fiancé Carrie Beach all of Midland; grandson, Carter; sister, Lan El Borneo of Midland; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Al was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Bruce Faber.
A Celebration of Life service for Al will take place 3:17 p.m. SATURDAY DECEMBER 12, 2015 from Wilson Miller Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on SATURDAY from 1:17 pm until the time of service. Memorials may be offered to the organization of choice.
