Adora Willis-Crook

Adora Tina Willis Crook, age 77 of Midland, passed away at her home on May 19, 2019 from natural causes. Born June 24, 1941, in LaGrange, Georgia to John Frank and Sarah Seegar Willis, reared in Tampa, Florida, was graduated from Hillsborough High School and the Business University of Tampa, attended the University of South Florida and Portland State University.



Adora was married to Sidney Crook in 1972, who preceded her in death, as did her parents and brother, John Frank Willis, Jr.



Retired, she enjoyed Senior Services' activities, Silver Sneakers, yoga, t'ai chi, gardening, was an avid reader, and puzzler.



Adora is survived by her daughter, Laurianna Gilbert (Dr. Kerry L.) Pierce of Midland; and her son, Alan B. Gilbert of Carolina Beach, North Carolina; grandchildren, Lucile, Espin, and Madison Gilbert of Carolina Beach, North Carolina, Nevin (Cara) Reel and great grandchildren Rosalee and Kael of Port Richey, Florida, Sarah Pierce (Dr. Santiago) Lopez and great grandson Pierce of Houston, Texas and Morgan Pierce (Ryan) Parker of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister, Melanie (Philip) Mayer of Guntersville, Alabama, and her brother, Charles (Judy) Willis of Smyrna, Tennessee.



A Celebration of Life will be conducted at the Creative 360 on Sunday, June 23, 2019, from 4-7 pm.
