A. Modell Debell

A. Modell DeBell, age 96 of Midland, passed away Friday evening December 25, 2020 at the MidMichigan Medical Center, Midland. The daughter of the late Charles D. and Ellie Mae (Bransford) Lyell was born in Cleaton, Kentucky on May 12, 1924. Modell had been employed with Tri City Plastics until retiring in June of 1989 after 24 years of service. She was part of the founding families and very active with Sanford First Baptist Church, an avid bowler and reader, enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, word search books, watching daytime soap opera, traveling and was a dedicated Tigers Fan. In her later years, Modell would winter in Lake Havasu, Arizona. On August 8, 1945 Modell married James "Bud" Todd and after 41 years of marriage he died on May 6, 1987. She then married Rev. Woodrow DeBell on April 14, 1990 and after 14 years of marriage he died on March 17, 2005.

Surviving is her daughter, Patricia "Trisha" (Gary) Tibbits of Prescott, Arizona; son,& James (Beth) Todd of Midland; loving grandmother to, Christian (Jill) Tibbits, Jerald (Lacey) Todd, Jessica (Eric) Hooker, Emily Deceus, Audrey Deceus; 11 great grandchildren; former daughter in law, Deb (Jim) Gofton. In addition to her parents and husbands, Modell was preceded in death by great grandson, Spencer David Tibbits; brother, James Lyell; sister, Kathleen Todd.

A private burial service for Modell has taken place in the New Edenville Cemetery. Memorial may be directed in Modell's name to Sanford First Baptist Church Building Fund 3148 N.
