Cemeteries provide families with a place to reflect on the life of a loved one in a peaceful, quiet environment. An important part of this is marking a loved ones final place of rest. From what color of granite is to be used to the size and shape, our staff is trained to help you design the perfect memorial for your loved ones final place of rest.
One important aspect of designing a marker is what cemetery the marker will be delivered to. Almost every cemetery has certain requirements about what type of marker can be placed in the cemetery. Listed below are other aspects that will be discussed when designing a marker.
- Shape and Size of Marker
- Flush Marker - This marker sits flush with the ground.
- Bevel Marker - This marker sits just above the ground with a slight slant.
- Slant Marker - This marker sits above ground. The front face where the names are placed is slanted.
- Upright Marker - This consists of a stone tablet sat on a stone base. These markers sit upright and are easily read from a distance.
- Color of Marker
- Type of Engraving
Once the above has been decided, a layout on paper will be made typically within two weeks for your approval. We will inform you on how long it will take for your marker to be delivered to the cemetery. If you have any questions or wish to schedule an appointment, please call us at 989-839-9966.
